A group of destitute swindlers on trial on charges of stealing $5.7 million from Columbia University claim they never took the money — it just miraculously showed up in their bank accounts. The quartet — George Castro, Jeremy Dieudonne, Joseph Pineras and Walter Stephens — went on trial Thursday in the brazen scheme, which rerouted millions meant for New York Presbyterian Hospital into their business bank account.
