Forget Weiner – it’s Huma’s time for exposure!

Hey, Weiner, wait your turn! Disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner has been raising his public profile, but his People magazine feature this week with wife Huma Abedin was a Clinton-crafted effort meant to help her get a job — not him, sources told the Daily News.

Money just showed up in our account, say four on trial in Columbia swindle

A group of destitute swindlers on trial on charges of stealing $5.7 million from Columbia University claim they never took the money — it just miraculously showed up in their bank accounts. The quartet — George Castro, Jeremy Dieudonne, Joseph Pineras and Walter Stephens — went on trial Thursday in the brazen scheme, which rerouted millions meant for New York Presbyterian Hospital into their business bank account.

The Waverly Inn shut by fire

A basement fire at The Waverly Inn in the West Village sent diners, crew and tenants upstairs scrambling through thick smoke Monday and shuttered the famed restaurant before dinner service, officials and witnesses said.
The flames erupted in the cellar of the landmarked building on Bank St. at Waverly Place about 5:20 p.m., the FDNY said.
