In it, Romney touches on the same topics that drew criticism this week, but goes in the opposite direction, saying that he has \u00e2\u20ac\u0153never believed\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that Americans are divided between \u00e2\u20ac\u0153makers and takers.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153You&#8217;ve probably also heard some people\u00e2\u20ac\u201dsome even in my own party\u00e2\u20ac\u201ddivide Americans between &#8216;makers&#8217; and &#8216;takers,&#8217;\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the speech reads. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153As if half the country wants to live off the other half. I&#8217;ve never believed that. That&#8217;s no different from the kind of divisive politics that the President practices when he pits the wealthy against everyone else.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The speech also takes note of those on food stamps, disability and the unemployed: &#8220;This is a national scandal.
