The twist? This version is written entirely in emoji, or Japanese <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/3002035\/hivelys-surveying-secret-keep-it-simple-emoticon\">emoticons<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emojidick.com\/\">Emoji Dick<\/a> began in 2009 as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/most-innovative-companies\/2012\/kickstarter\">Kickstarter<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/fred\/emoji-dick\/posts\/409203\">project<\/a> by creator Fred Benenson (a Kickstarter employee himself).
