Perry Chen, Yancey Strickler and Charles Adler note that their \u00e2\u20ac\u0153mission is to help bring creative projects to life,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and they argue that goes for anyone. The trio deflected criticism aimed at their service \u00e2\u20ac\u201d along with Braff and <em><a href=\"http:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/Veronica-Mars\">Veronica Mars<\/a> <\/em>creator Rob Thomas \u00e2\u20ac\u201d saying that high-profile projects merely \u00e2\u20ac\u0153bring new backers to other projects.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Agree or not, the trio is in spin-control mode amid the backlash as crowdsourcing continues to be the latest cyber-Wild West.
